(a) ও b হবে না কারণ executive ও consultant - দের সংখ্যা কত বলা হয়নি। তাই consultant - এর চেয়ে executive কম না বেশি বা executive - দের চেয়ে কোন consultant বেশি income করেছে কিনা বলা যায় না। (d) ব্যাখ্যাঃ হতেও পারে নাও পারে। Consultant - দের সংখ্যা জানা না থাকায় consultant যে lowest paid executive - এর চেয়ে বেশি বেতন পায় না তা জানা যায় না। কারণ সব consultant - এর বেতনই হয়তো 470,000 আবার সব executive - এর বেতনই হয়তো 550,000। ফলে assumption - টি নিশ্চিত করা যায় না। (c) - ই সঠিক হবে। কারণ Executive ও consultant সবার বার্ষিক আয়ের Average = 550,000 + 470,000/2 = 510,000। অথচ পুরো কোম্পানির employee - দের বার্ষিক আয়ের Average বলা হয়েছে 380,000। এখান থেকে বোঝা যায় কমপক্ষে 1 জন employee আছে যার বেতন consultant দের average salary থেকে কম। যার ফলে সবার Average বেতন কমে গেছে।
