বাংলাদেশ ভারতের ছিটমহল বিনিময় চুক্তিতে বাংলাদেশের ভেতরে ভারতের ১১১টি ছিটমহল ছিল। বাংলাদেশ ও ভারতের মধ্যে সীমান্ত সুনির্দিষ্ট করতে ভারতের রাজধানী নয়াদিল্লি ১৬ মে ১৯৭৪ একটি চুক্তি স্বাক্ষরিত হয়, যা ইন্দিরা মুজিব চুক্তি নামেও পরিচিত । ২৩ নভেম্বর ১৯৭৪ বাংলাদেশের সংবিধান (তৃতীয় সংশোধনী )আইন,১৯৭৪ এর মাধ্যমে এটি বাংলাদেশের জাতীয় সংসদে পাশ হলেও যে দীর্ঘ ৪০ বছর পর ভারতের রাজ্য সভায় ৬ মে ২০১৫ এবং ৭ মে ২০১৫ লোক সভায় সর্বসম্মতিক্রমে এ স্থলসীমান্ত চুক্তি পাস হয় । ফলে বাংলাদেশ লাভ করে ১১১টি ছিটমহল আর ভারত পায় ৫১টি ছিটমহল ।
