The appointment to all
constitutional posts is made by the President of
India. This includes the Chief justice, the
Election Commissioner, the CVC and the
Chairman of the UPSC and also the officers of
All India Services. Chairman of the Union
Public Service Commission holds office during
the pleasure of the President of India.
