Traffic in human beings and
beggars and other similar forms of forced labour
are prohibited and any contravention of this
provision shall be an offence punishable in
accordance with law. The terms 'Socialist' was
added by the 42nd Amendment and assert that
the government must adopt socialistic policies to
ensure decent life for all Indian citizens. Thus,
the word Socialist in the preamble of the
Constitution of India read with Article 23.
