The Central Civil Services are
concerned with the administration of the Union
Government. All appointments to Civil
Services, Group A are made by the President of
India. Indian Revenue Service, Indian Foreign
Service, Indian. Audits and Accounts Service,
Indian Trade Service, etc are all central civil
services. Indian Administrative Service, Indian
Forest Service and the Indian Police Service are
All India Civil Services (AIS), the appointments
of which are made by the President of India.
