Public opinion is defined as the
prevailing and widespread belief of the majority
of people in a society about a given subject or
issue. It is an aggregate of the individual views,
attitudes, and beliefs about a particular topic,
expressed by a significant proportion of a
community (Encyclopaedia Britannica).
