The Lok Sabha Secretariat is an
independent body which functions under the
ultimate guidance and control of the Speaker of
Lok Sabha. In the discharge of his/her
constitutional and statutory responsibilities, the
Speaker is assisted by the Secretary-General,
Lok Sabha and other officers and staff of the
Secretariat at various levels.
