In all democracies an assembly of
elected representatives exercises political
authority on behalf of the people. Parliament has
the authority to make new laws for the country
and abolish existing laws. Parliament control all
the money related issues of government. All the
bills have to be presented to Lok Sabha before
they become laws. Since Lok Sabha consists of
elected representative of the people, it exercises
authority over the government.
